Who I am and what I do

I am a practical psychologist, accredited gestalt-therapist and a certified supervisor in the Ukrainian Society of Psychologists Practicing «Gestalt-Approach». I provide individual psychotherapy and counselling, work with couples, conduct psychotherapy groups, provide supervision for beginner colleagues, work with adults and teenagers. I am native in Russian, Ukrainian and fluent in English. Work experience is six years.

I work with interpersonal and internal conflicts, self-esteem problems, processing of trauma, self-realization in life, age-related crises. I also provide analisis, integration, exploration and development of psyche according to client’s request.

My style

I am clear and structured in my thinking. I can articulate complex ideas and concepts in an accessible way. I am well-read, I like to engage in discussions and thinking out loud with a client. I combine gestalt-therapy with psychodynamic approach and developmental theories. Meaning that I work with a client’s interpersonal world in the here and now, gestalt-therapy is very good at it, and with an internal world of a person in a psychodynamic approach, focusing on formative years of development in childhood and adolescence. I am stable and reliable. I have a good sense of humor and self-irony. Sometimes I get tired of work, as working with people can be very hard, and other times I get plenty of positive emotions, as this work is also very rewarding.

I work in a calm and thoughtful manner, with acceptance and good intention to a client. I show interest and curiosity. My enthusiasm can encourage a person to explore, analyse and reflect on themselves. I can withstand different forms and styles of contact, I can contain strong feelings, cope with client’s aggression as well as high degree of uncertainty. I’m good at differentiating my feelings and thoughts, presenting them to a client in a timely and careful manner.
